The song helps you practice the past continuous. The lyrics have many examples of the past continuous. Do you know this verb tense? Here is the structure with some examples:
Subject + Was/Were + Verb(ING)
- I was dancing.
- She was reading.
- They were swimming.
This verb tense is for activities that are happening in the past. It is often used for interruptions.
